IT At A Glance

IT Ajmer circle is the nodal office for monitoring & execution of IT related works carried out comprising of all circles of Ajmer Discom. The works being done by the circle are as under: 

(a)    IT implementation in all 30 Nos. R-APDRP towns under R-APDRP Part-A (IT) project for basic processes of sub-divisions having 17 nos. modules:

1. Meter data Acquisition,     

2. Energy Audit through NIM,

3. New connection through CRM Plus,         

4. Disconnection and Dismantling,

5. GIS based customer/indexing  and asset

    Mapping/ Network Indexing Module (NIM),

6. GIS based integrated network analysis,


7. Centralized Customer Care Services,

8. Management Information System (MIS),

9. Web Self Service,              

10. Identity and access Management         


11. System Security Requirement,     

12. Development of Commercial Database

      of Consumers,

13. Metering,              

14. Billing,

15. Collections,

16. Asset Management,

(b)   IT implementation in Non R-APDRP area inline with R-APDRP Part-A (IT) project.

(c)    SCADA/DMS implementation in 21 Nos. sub-stations of Ajmer City under R-APDRP Part-A (SCADA) project alongwith establishment of SCADA Control Center at IT Cell, Naka Madar, Ajmer. Major components that a SCADA /DMS implementation would include are given as under:

•  Main Control Centre for SCADA/DMS

•  DR Centre for SCADA/DMS 

•  SCADA/Information Storage & Retrieval (ISR) Functions

•  SCADA/DMS system to supervise Distribution Network

•  SCADA/DMS/ Dispatcher training simulator (DTS)

•  RTUs at all Primary Sub-Stations (DSS) & FRTUs at RMUs, Sectionalizers etc.

Integration with existing / under implementation billing, customer care system , GIS system under R-APDRP  & any  other relevant legacy system in the identified project areas of the utility.

(d)   Regular uploading / updation of Acts, Rules, Regulations, Circulars, Orders, Tenders and other information on Discom’s Website, uploading of Post Go-Live (D1-D7) Reports on IPDS and National Power Portal (NPP), Grievances redressal on Sampark Portal, etc.

(e)    Support to the Officers/ Officials of the Discom for working on State Public Procurement Portal (SPPP) ( under RTPP Act, 2012.

(f)    Implementation of Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) related to IT Activities under Ease of Doing Business (EoDB).

(g)   Mobile number updation in the database of R-APDRP application.

(h)   Staffing & Operation of 24x7 of Centralized Call Center (CCC) with Fault Rectification Team (FRT) established at Ajmer for all types of electricity related complaints.

(i)     Support to the Consumers for account and Online Payment Gateway related activities on Web Self Services (WSS) Consumer portal.

(j)     Establishment and maintaining the BSNL MPLS/VPN connectivity provided in all sub-divisions/Divisions/Circles/Zones/Corporate offices.

(k)   Development of mobile application for the consumers.

(l)     ERP, Smart Metering and IT implementation under IPDS Phase-II project.

(m) Implementation of 11kV Rural Feeder Monitoring Scheme initiated by MoP, GoI under DDUGJY through REC TPCL, New Delhi.
