Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company Ltd
In order to promote generation from solar energy, the Government of Rajasthan has issued the Rajasthan Solar Energy Policy, 2011 vide notification No.F.20 (6) Energy/2010 dated: 19.4.2011. As per clause 5.4, the Rajasthan State will develop Solar Parks of more than 1000 MW capacity in identified areas of Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Barmer districts in various stages. The State Government, under this policy, will act as the facilitator to attract global investment in Rajasthan and will provide the necessary infrastructure, regulatory and other Government support required through the Nodal Agency to rapidly ramp up Solar Power generation capacity in the State. RREC will act as a Nodal Agency for development of Solar Parks in Rajasthan.
Rajasthan Solarpark Development Company Limited (U40102RJ2011SGC036861) as a subsidiary company of RREC has been incorporated for development of infrastructure and management of Solar Park in accordance with the clause 5.4.2 of Rajasthan Solar Energy Policy, 2011 on 2nd November 2011. The date of commencement of its business is 20.01.2012.
'Rajasthan Solarpark Development Company Limited’ (RSDCL) has been established as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) in form of a subsidiary company of RRECL for development of infrastructure and management of Solar Park. RSDCL formulates guidelines in respect of allotment of land and sharing of development cost by the Solar Power Producers.
Bhadla Solar Park Phase-I having 7 solar power plants of total 75 MW capacity and Phase-II having 10 solar power plants of total 680 MW capacity have been developed by RSDCL at Village Bhadla, Tehsil Bap, District Jodhpur. Phase-II has been developed under MNRE scheme for development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects, with all necessary infrastructures like Road & Road Light, Water supply system, EHV System for Power Evacuation and Office Building & Rest House etc. The Operation & Maintenance of the common infrastructure facilities in the solar parks created by RSDCL is being arranged by RSDCL.
Further, a 980 MW capacity Solar Park at Village Nokh, Tehsil Pokaran, District Jaisalmer has been planned and is being developed under the MNRE scheme.
